The new SONEL S.A. illuminance meter family - more accurate with new functionality.

Sonel SA introduced  three new illumination meters, the first of them LXP-2 is the direct successor to the LXP-1, and it will satisfy the needs of professionals responsible for illumination of the workplace. For those who require measurement accuracy at a much higher level, for example, when measuring the light intensity of escape routes where is required  accuracy at 0,5 lx level, Sonel S.A. has developed two new instruments LXP-10B in Class B with a resolution of 0.01 lx and LXP-10A in Class A with resolution of 0.001 lx and a very high the accuracy of the measurement. All Sonel SA  illumination meters have calibration certificate submitted by the Research and Calibration Laboratory in standard.

The external probe used in the meter, has build-in a light-sensitive silicon photodiode and the spectral sensitivity filter. Photodiode is corrected to the cosine curve and is placed in external probe combined with the control panel with 1.5 m length cable. LXP-10B/A also allows for wireless data transfer to a PC via an optional radio adapter OR-1.

The most important features of new LXP family are:

  • Measurement resolution LXP-2 – 0.1 lx (0.01 fc), LXP-10B – 0.01 lx (0.001 fc), LXP-10A - 0,001 lx (0,0001 fc).
  • High accuracy and fast response.
  • Data-hold function for holding measuring values.
  • Automatic zeroing.
  • No need for correction factors calculating  for different light sources thanks to a very good fit spectral sensitivity guaranteeing the correct measurement of intensity of the illumination regardless of the nature of radiation.
  • Peak-hold function for tracing the peak signal of light pulse with duration longer than 0.1 s (0.4 s for LXP-2) and less than 1 s.
  • Capable of selecting measuring mode in Lux or FC scale alternatively.
  • Auto power off (5,10 or 15minutes) or disable AUTO power off.
  • Maximum and minimum measurements.
  • Relative reading.
  • Easy to read large backlit display.
  • USB output connect with PC.
  • Data transmission via radio connection using an optional adapter OR-1 (only LXP-10B, LXP-10A).
  • four - LXP-2, five - LXP-10B and six measurement ranges - LXP-10A.
  • Built-in memory - 99 result for LXP-2 or 999 for LXP-10A and LXP-10B, with can be checked in the meter or PC.
  • 16000 values records data logger (traceable only in PC)99 values in memory that could be read on the meter and PC.

To measure turn on the meter, remove the probe cover and directed it toward the light source. Meter always starts operating in automatic range selection mode,  eliminating the need of manually change of the range, the auto-range can be disabled in any time manually. Meter will indicate the measured value of light intensity on the big LCD diplay. Due to the high sensitivity of the photodiode displayed value may not be stable so the constancy of the measurement conditions is needed (lack of probe movement). To save the current result into memory, press the ENTER / MEM.
