Description

Two-days measurement workshops.

Assessment of protection against electric shock in low-voltage electrical installations and photovoltaic installations using the Sonel MPI-540/540PV series meter.

Scope of training:

  • How to understand general technical rules
Standards and basics of their application. Requirements for meters. Rules for conducting periodic tests of measuring instruments.
  • Automatic disconnection of the supply. RCD test
Methods of testing in TN, TT, IT networks. Connecting the meter to the tested installation, proper meter settings, assessment of the condition of automatic disconnection of the supply.
  • Insulation resistance measurements
Assessment of basic protection in electrical installations. Method properties and safety measures.
  • Earth resistance measurements
Technical method in measuring earth resistance. Measurements with clamps and determination of soil resistivity using the Wenner method.
  • Continuity measurements of protective and equipotential bonding
  • Photovoltaic installation measurements
Performing category I tests of the EN IEC 62446-1 standard.
  • Meter operation
The measurement capabilities of the MPI-5XX series meters will be presented, along with a discussion of the meter settings necessary to perform each measurement.

Each point will be presented in terms of measurement performance based on the requirements of the aplicable standards and the correct assessment of the obtained results.

The training takes place at the company's headquarters in Świdnica, Poland at str. Wokulskiego 11 (GPS: Lon:16 31'10"E; Lat:50 51'00"N).
